    Ask what you can do!

  2. Visit a Parish

This is a great way to get to know members.

  3. Behind the scenes
Pray for Church unity and the healing of the Body of Christ.

Many faces, one faith.

We are a diverse group of believers from many Christian traditions – bankers, farmers, musicians, social workers, teachers, physicians, counselors, clergy, public servants, business owners, parents and children  – united by our shared faith in a loving God in Christ Jesus in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

We welcome home worship where two or three are gathered in His Name. If you are alone, you can study Holy Scripture, pray, follow the AECC "What We Believe" tenants, and provide volunteer services in and through the love of Christ.

Our Mission

The Augustana Evangelical Catholic Church (AECC) takes its inspiration from the Gospel of John, “May they all be one, just as, Abba, you are in me and I am in you, so that they also may be in us...that they may be one as we are One."

Reuniting the Body of Christ one Church at a time.

You may be asking yourself, "Another denominational splinter group that thinks they know the Truth?" Not exactly. We are a growing worldwide evangelical ecclesial communion of over 50,000 members in 5 countries and 4 continents. Our bishops and priests have been ordained in Apostolic Succession with valid Holy Orders in the Roman Catholic Church via the Order of Corporate Reunion.

We believe that Christ created the fullness of the Church through Peter, in Rome. The Augustana Evangelical Catholic Church (formerly the Anglo-Lutheran Catholic Church) has been pursuing official recognition by The Holy See since 1997. Through the Office of the Metropolitan Archbishop, we seek membership in the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) as we continue ongoing discussions with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
