His Holiness Pope Francis excoriates the Vatican bureaucracy and begins the journey to true reform of the Curia.

The Most Rev. Robert Edmondson, Metropolitan Archbishop
of the Augustana Catholic Church (ACC) sent a letter to His Holiness Pope Francis requesting the formation of a Lutheran Ordinariate, including a brief review of correspondence with the Vatican, specifically the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. Copies of the papal letter were sent to Gerhard Cardinal Mueller and Kurt Cardinal Koch, as well as Cardinal Kaspar. We are prayerfully anticipating a positive reply because Rome has publically asked for a formal request by a Lutheran ecclesial body.
